My goal in therapy is to create a space where my clients feel safe, supported, and seen as whole people
Registered Social Worker, Therapist
I am a clinical social worker and therapist with experience supporting individuals facing many different types of challenges. Some of these include: anxiety, depression, addiction, managing daily life stress, and navigating life transitions.
My goal in therapy is to create a space where my clients feel safe, supported, and seen as whole people. To do so I take a collaborative approach that draws on my client's strengths, respects diversity in gender, race, ability and sexuality, and often integrates humour.
I received my Masters in Social Work degree from The University of Toronto, where I interned at the Centre for Mental Health and Addiction (CAMH). Since completing my degree I have worked in a variety of community and hospital based mental health programs. My approach to therapy draws from evidence-based models including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Please contact me for a free consultation to discuss how I may be of support to you in your journey. That could be short term skills based counselling, community referrals, or long term explorative counselling. Based on your needs, we will set manageable goals for therapy together.
