what we do
Here to provide you with integrative medical care to help cut out the noise and find healthcare solutions that work for you.
We understand that it can be scary and isolating to face health challenges on your own, and how difficult it is to transform your lifestyle habits. Our goal is to support you safely and without judgment, so you can feel confident and comfortable in your body again.
Naturopathic medicine is an approach to primary health care that blends natural forms of medicine with modern scientific knowledge. The primary goal of naturopathic medicine is to accurately diagnose, uncover underlying causes, and customize treatments for sustainable results.
Rooted in the belief that in order to heal, balance must be restored in the body. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), when healthy the yin and yang influences are balanced, but disease progresses when the energy (Qi) needed to sustain this balance is disrupted. Acupuncture inserts very tiny needles into specific meridian points to regulate Qi and restore balance, providing not only symptom relief but ultimately helping the body restore itself and heal.
Changing how we engage with food and what we eat can be a daunting task. We look at your current eating habits and come alongside you to ensure that any changes we suggest are going to be realistic and well-suited to your needs. While health principles remain consistent, the details on how best to support your body in healing and health are always unique.

Integrative health services are covered by most extended health insurance plans. Our clinic offers direct billing for many major insurance providers. Patients are responsible for the cost of their appointment upfront if their providers cannot be billed directly. The Orenda Clinic will provide an invoice and receipt that can be submitted to your insurance provider manually. Note that insurance coverage is for appointment fees but will not extend to product purchases, lab work, or other non-visit services.
Have a question? We have some answers.
What is your process?
We encourage all patients to book a complimentary 15 minute consult with their preferred practitioner. At The Orenda Clinic we want to ensure you’re receiving the best care possible, and therefore seeing the right practitioner for you. This is your opportunity to briefly discuss your health concerns, ask questions, and get to know the practitioners better so you can feel confident going forward. It also allows us to determine if we are the best fit to help you. If for some reason we feel we’re not a good fit, we will always provide you with a referral to a more appropriate practitioner. Please note, no treatment is given at this appointment.
Upon booking your first appointment you will receive an email containing our initial intake forms, which we ask that you complete and send back to us prior to your appointment, or bring with you. If you have recent test results or blood work it is important to bring a copy with you or email it to the clinic in advance.
The primary focus of your first visit is to gather necessary information for both diagnosis and development of your custom treatment plan. This provides us with a comprehensive picture of your past medical history, your current health concerns, and your future health goals. At the end of the visit, you will receive a customized health care plan to get started on, and have a better idea of future directions and number of visits required.
Follow Up Appointment
Follow-up appointments are often shorter in length, as these are used to provide ongoing treatment, as well as monitor your progress and modify your treatment plan as necessary. Depending on the type of service you’re interested in, the first follow-up visit may be booked anywhere from 1-4 weeks after your initial intake, and subsequent follow-up visits will be booked further apart. As you continue with care, we often do not require follow-ups as frequently and prefer bi-annual check ins.
If you have not been to the clinic in 2 years, we will book you an initial appointment to allow us the time needed to get caught up on how you have been since your last visit, and what has changed that we need to know about.
What do I bring to my first appointment?
We ask that prior to your first appointment, you take the time to complete our initial intake forms. We also ask that any recent blood work, imaging, or testing be sent to us in advance of your visit in order to more efficiently use our time together.
What is a community health space?
We’re defining it as we go! Our vision is to bring our local community together with a shared goal of improved health and wellness. We host regular educational workshops, program offerings from our awesome team of practitioners, and seasonal pop-events in our community workshop space.
Are your appointment services covered by benefits?
Yes, our appointment services are covered by most extended health care plans. Check with your insurance provider to find out more.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, we are currently accepting new patients. If you want to find out more we’re happy to set up a complimentary 15 minute consult with your preferred practitioner to ensure it’s a good fit. You can contact us to find out more.
How can I refer family and friends?
Many of our patients come through referrals, which we absolutely love. We are passionate about supporting people’s health and would be honoured to help your friends and family as well. You can contact us to find out more.
How do I find you? Where can I park my car?
We’re located at 623 Gerrard Street East, just east of Broadview Avenue on the south side. There are two Green P parking lots, one is east of the clinic at 653 Gerrard St. E., the other is just west of Broadview at 573 Gerrard St. E.
By transit our clinic can be reached on the 504, 505, 506 streetcars, either directly or from Broadview subway station.
Are you wheelchair accessible?

How early should I arrive for appointments?
Please arrive for your appointments on time. If it’s your first visit, please arrive 5-10 minutes in advance. If you are late for your appointment, please call clinic reception. Please note if you are late your scheduled appointment will still end on time and the appointment fee will remain unchanged.
areas of focus
Integrative Cancer Care:
For those who have received a precancerous or cancer diagnosis, have a strong family history of cancer, or are a cancer survivor, Orenda’s integrative oncology support is here to help answer your questions and provide safe, effective care. At The Orenda Clinic we look at how best to treat you, not just your cancer, diving into your most pressing risk factors, as well as discussing your concerns and goals, so we can develop a support plan that is suited to you.
Naturopathic medicine works best when used alongside your conventional treatment plans but we recognize that this is not always an option for patients.
We use the strongest available evidence to help to optimize your oncologist’s treatments, reduce side effects of cancer therapies, reduce your risk of recurrence, and enhance your quality of life both during and after your experience with cancer. Our goal is to help you feel your best by working to mitigate adverse reactions to chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and hormonal treatments, and effectively reducing side effects of treatment (including pain, nausea, brain fog, and fatigue).
The goal of naturopathic cancer care is to improve overall survival, minimize side effects of treatment, and improve the quality of life for people living with cancer.
For those affected by hormone dysfunction, our hormone support team is here to help answer your questions and provide safe, effective care. At The Orenda Clinic, we strongly believe hormonal disturbances are often the culprit behind chronic symptoms and disease development. If you are struggling with any hormone-related concern, including but not limited to acne, PCOS, infertility, weight loss resistance, thyroid concerns, low testosterone, endometriosis, and menopause, our team is here to support you.
We take the time to determine your unique contributors to health, risk factors,
and both short and long-term goals, so we can develop a customized support plan for you.
In many cases, we do recommend lab testing at the first visit so we can provide a true diagnosis, uncover the underlying cause, and target treatments accordingly.
Our ultimate goal is to help you feel comfortable in your body again! We can help you get there by working together as a team, finding practical healthcare solutions that fit into your everyday life, as well as collaborating with your conventional medical doctors so you receive the best of both worlds.
Reproductive support for patients facing a cancer diagnosis, or those who have a history of cancer, needs to be addressed in a way that is safe and rooted in the best available evidence. Our knowledge of both oncology and reproductive health allows you to find care in a place
that will look at your unique needs and work with you to develop a truly supportive treatment plan. Our goal is that every person, couple, and family that walks through our doors feels educated about their options, as well as having their current and future goals addressed. We welcome you at any stage of your journey.
