Dr. Hayhlee Clarence ND
Co-Founder, Naturopathic Doctor
Before I finished undergraduate studies I knew I would pursue naturopathic medicine, but it wasn’t until my family was thrown into the world of cancer diagnoses and treatments that I found exactly where my passion for care was rooted.
After completing a Bachelor of Kinesiology I moved to Toronto to pursue my Doctor of Naturopathy degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. As an intern, I was one of a select few chosen to work on the Adjunctive Cancer Care shift, where I had the opportunity to work exclusively with patients affected by cancer and shadow Oncologists practicing in Sunnybrook’s Breast Cancer Centre.
I am passionate about supporting patients who have been affected by cancer, whether you are in the midst of an active diagnosis, have a strong family history of cancer, or you previously had cancer and want to ensure your ongoing care is mindful of this. Whether preparing to enter treatment, undergoing conventional care, or in recovery, I follow the best available evidence to formulate a safe care plan unique to each patient’s needs and goals.
I am a strong advocate for conventional care, recognizing that when possible, naturopathic medicine functions best alongside medical treatment. While my practice is focused on supporting patients who have been affected by cancer, my door is open to anyone looking for a Naturopathic Doctor who will see beyond a diagnosis to develop a clear understanding of the their needs and goals. I am driven by a desire to empower people with knowledge instead of leaving them feeling uncertain and confused.
Dr. Hayhlee Clarence is licensed to practice in Ontario under the College of Naturopaths of Ontario and is an active member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND), the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), and the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OncANP).
Dr. Alessia Milano, ND
Co-Founder, Naturopathic Doctor
When I was quite young, I started experiencing symptoms I felt were not normal. I had severe cystic acne, my anxiety felt unmanageable, and I was in significant pain each month. I was told these symptoms would go away with age, however as I grew into adulthood the symptoms persevered. As a last ditch effort, I tried naturopathic medicine, and my health was forever changed. Not only was I provided with an actual diagnosis that explained what was happening to me, but I was given treatment that provided lasting and sustainable results.
After completing my Honours degree in Psychology at Queen’s University, I decided to obtain my Doctor of Naturopathy Degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. While at the College, I was selected among my peers to undergo additional training in Reproductive Health and Fertility, which only further confirmed my love of hormones.
I love treating all things hormone-related including but not limited to acne, infertility, weight loss resistance, thyroid concerns, low testosterone, endometriosis, PCOS, and preconception.
I take an evidence-based, forward thinking approach with all of my patients, addressing both short and long term health goals. I highly emphasize the importance of lab testing and targeted treatment for each individual patient, so that we are truly uncovering the underlying cause and achieving lasting results. While my practice does have a focus on hormones, my door is open to anyone who is ready to make positive changes in their health.
